What is QSPP

QSPP is the next evolution of Australia’s national accreditation program for community pharmacies, building on the strong foundations established under the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP).

It provides assurance to patients, government, and the wider health system that accredited pharmacies deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care aligned with current professional standards.

QSPP focuses on how quality and safety operate in everyday practice. It strengthens expectations around clinical governance, patient safety, staff competence, consumer engagement, and risk management, while recognising the operational realities of community pharmacy. The program assesses community pharmacies and provides certification against the Australian Community Pharmacy Standard AS85000:2024.
