Becoming accredited under the QSPP is a structured and supported process
Pharmacies seeking accreditation with an assessment date before 1 October 2026 must register under the QCPP.
Pharmacies previously accredited under QCPP with an assessment date on or after 1 October 2026 will automatically transition to QSPP, with no need to re-register.
Pharmacies seeking accreditation on or after 1 October 2026 should register for QSPP once registration opens.
Register for QSPP Accreditation
Complete the QSPP Pharmacy Registration form and confirm the services your pharmacy provides.
Register for access to the QSPP Knowledge Hub and Customer Portal
Using the Self-Nomination form, register yourself for the QSPP Customer Portal and Knowledge Hub.
The Knowledge Hub provides guidance and practical resources to support implementation of QSPP requirements. The Customer Portal is used to manage your accreditation process, including documentation and assessment outcomes.
Familiarise yourself with the requirements
Review the Australian Community Pharmacy Standard AS85000:2024 and the QSPP User Assessment Guide and Program Rules that set out requirements.
Align your systems and processes
Ensure your governance, policies and procedures reflect QSPP requirements and are embedded in everyday practice.
The User Assessment Guide details the assessment criteria and evidence requirements relevant to your service level.
Focus on:
- Clinical governance and leadership
- Safe delivery of medicines and pharmacy services
- Partnering with consumers
- Business governance and operations
Prepare for assessment
Once your pharmacy is ready for the assessment, let us know by calling 1300 363 340 or emailing support@qspp.com. An onsite assessment will be scheduled.
An assessor will review your systems, observe practice and confirm that quality and safety processes are operating effectively.
Complete the assessment
Following your assessment you will receive an interim report outlining any required corrective actions. Once these are actioned, accreditation will be confirmed.
