The QSPP is Australia’s contemporary accreditation program for community pharmacies
QSPP supports safe, high-quality and patient-centred care by assessing pharmacies against nationally recognised standards. The program promotes continuous improvement in governance, professional practice and the delivery of pharmacy services nationally.
Accredited pharmacies undergo a structured assessment every three years, including a mid-cycle review to ensure they continue to meet the requirements of the Australian Community Pharmacy Standard AS85000:2024.
QSPP accreditation operates within a comprehensive quality management framework. It covers all aspects of pharmacy practice, including clinical governance, professional standards, operational systems and best-practice procedures.
When you visit a QSPP accredited pharmacy, you can be confident it:
- Delivers safe, high-quality and consistent care
- Operates under clear clinical governance and accountability frameworks
- Maintains appropriate training and competency for pharmacy staff
- Meets nationally recognised standards for the storage and supply of medicines
- Provides services (such as vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable) in accordance with established protocols.
