Three-Year Accreditation Cycle
Under QSPP, pharmacies are accredited on a three-year cycle.
Initial Accreditation or Reaccreditation
Full accreditation assessments are conducted onsite by the program’s assessment partner.
Pharmacies must demonstrate that systems, processes and governance arrangement are operating effectively in line with the Standards.
Mid-Cycle Review
In the second year of the cycle, pharmacies undertake a virtual mid-cycle review.
This review
- Confirms that quality systems remain embedded
- Identifies emerging risk
- Supports continuous improvement ahead of full reaccreditation
This structured cycle supports stability for pharmacies while maintaining strong oversight of quality and safety.
